ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Brand Ethos : Sagradesa is a slow-fashion brand rooted in sustainability and storytelling. Inspired by nature, we create one-off handmade designs using reclaimed textiles. Pieces are made-to-order, including custom eveningwear, bridal, and costume design.
Why Sagradesa? Showing Sagradesa on the FAT runway has been a dream for us, but funding has been an obstacle as a solo female-led business. This collaboration would allow us to share our story of female empowerment & Latinx culture with FAT’s esteemed network, through sustainable fashion.
As a Latinx sustainable designer, we bring a unique vision to the FAT runway, and hope to share representation and visibility for the Latinx community and environmental advocacy.
We are committed to using recycled materials in all our designs to create awareness of the climate crisis & combat textile waste.
We hope to redefine prior conceptions of sustainable fashion, and challenge industry environmental practices through this collection, and always.

"El Vuelo del Deseo" (The Flight of Desire)
Inspired by Sagradesa’s Colombian heritage, this collection reflects traditional Spanish & Catholic design elements. Featuring voluminous skirts, corsets, and references to historic silhouettes, we follow a young woman through a romance of courtship, temptation, betrayal, and vengeance.
Garments made using 100% deadstock, reclaimed, vegetable-dyed, non-virgin textiles to reduce textile waste. Our color story begins with bases of cream, natural eggshells and off-whites, accented by pastel pinks blues, transitioning darker into ruby & blood red, and black.
Styling using vintage and ethically sourced accessories. Focus on traditional flourishes such as handheld lace fans and maximalist hairstyles, such as the mantilla (veil) and Spanish comb.
